Tallinnas jäi seekord Eesti poolmaratoni rekord püsima, kuid võitsin jooksu mitme tugeva favoriidi ees!
I didn't break the Estonian half marathon record in Tallinn, but took the victory on the front of some good runners.
Pärast mitme asjatundjaga võistluskulgu analüüsides võin julgelt endale tunnistada, et jooksin väljakutsete rohkel rajatrassil väga tugeva aja - 1.03.27. Eesti rekordist jäi puudu 27 sekundit ja isiklikust rekordist kõigest 14 sekundit.
I have to admit that my performance was great. My final time was 1.03.27, so missed the Estonian record in 27 seconds and the personal record in 14 seconds.
Minu hinnangul oli tegemist läbi aegade kõige konkurentsitihedama poolmaratoni võistlusega Eestimaa pinnal, kus top kümnesse mahtus vaid kaks eestlast. Võidu võtsin alles finišisirgel jooksu favoriidi Peter Kiprotichi ees.
In my opinion it was the most competitive half marathon race in Estonian history. Only 2 Estonian men were among the Top 10. I took the victory in the final sprint on the front of the Peter Kiprotich.
The weather was great and the organizers did some good efforts to put together a decent competition. The course was challenging due to the some narrow paths and curvy roads. Unfortunately we hit into the marathon people from the 8th K.
My top 4 half marathon results:
Minu spordimehe hing on jätkuvalt rahutu!
My competitive spirit is still not in the peace!
Now I am waiting for the November when IAAF will announce the 2020 Tokyo Olympics qualification standards. Due to that information I am going to plan my next races and the training plans.

Kurviline rajatrass ja slaalom maratoonarite vahel pani vere voolama. The curvy course and running the slalom among the marathon runners broke my toes. |
